Burattino Brick Oven Pizza is a compact pizza spot tucked into Rancho Palos Verdes, known primarily for its brick oven-style pies that cater well to takeout and casual dinners. The dining area is small, making it feel cozy but not necessarily suited for a long, lingering meal inside — locals and visitors alike seem to prefer grabbing their orders to enjoy elsewhere.

The atmosphere inside is unpretentious and focused on good service. Staff members are described as friendly and approachable, helping customers navigate a fairly broad specialty pizza menu without pressure. This creates a relaxed, low-key vibe where you can feel comfortable deciding what to try or sticking to a classic pepperoni or cheese pie.

Burattino’s pizzas strike a balance between crispy and chewy crusts, coming out hot and fresh. The menu leans on traditional and inventive options: from a Medium Pepperoni or Cheese Pizza to more distinctive choices like the Buffalo Chicken, Hawaiian BBQ Pork, or the wild boar pepperoni variety. Beyond pizza, you can also grab chicken wings — Buffalo style or otherwise — which add a useful variety for sharing or pairing with a slice.

Given its reputation on social media and the buzz it has generated, the place can get busy, with wait times that might feel a bit long during peak hours. The parking situation nearby is limited, so it's easier to plan a visit when you’re not in a rush, or call ahead to pick up your order. Prices lean slightly higher than the typical neighborhood spot, which is something to consider if you’re in it for a quick, casual slice.

This spot works best for those who want a reliably tasty, freshly made brick oven pizza without the fuss of a big restaurant setting. If you’re local and looking to take home a warm meal or stop by for a quick bite with friends, Burattino fits the bill. Weekday evenings and early weekend dinners tend to be manageable times to visit without too long a wait.

We stopped by this pizza spot for dinner and were genuinely impressed from the moment we walked in. The staff welcomed us with a great attitude and helped us choose a few items from the menu. They were attentive without being pushy and made the whole visit feel easy and relaxed. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The crust had the perfect balance of crisp and chew, the toppings tasted high quality, and everything was seasoned just right. You could tell they put real care into their food. We also tried a salad and some garlic knots, and both were excellent.

So this place is very hyped on tiktok so I was finally in the area so we went.first off the guy at the counter was probably oneof the coolest and friendliest people I have ever meet. Very cool guy. The place is very small and the parking is kinda nutty.price is steep for pizza but sometimes you gotta pay to try. The pizza we got was hot and crispy. The flavor was ok but we also got just a basic pizza . Hot the pizza was delicious.but once it was cold it wasn't that good. When pizza tastes good cold u know it's good. Next time we go I wanna try to chorizo pizza and I'm sure it will b amazing.

**EDIT~ 6/3/24** This place has decreased in its level of services in the last few months. Went recently and my 20-25 min wait time turned into 56 mins ( I even gave extra time because they’re usually ready after the suggested time). Then also noticed they’re no longer have an A grade but a B now, so unfortunate being that they were one of the best pizza places in the area. First thing first the customer service at the front desk was AMAZING . The pizza temperature was perfectly HOT!!! The flavors were astounding! The black garlic dip was also terrific ,I can’t wait to try it on the whole pizza as a base instead of marinara . The crust had a great flavor and taste to it. I usually don’t like thin crust type of pizza ,but this pizza is definitely an exception. Certainly a delicious pizzeria if you’re looking for something fresh and flavorful.

The brick oven pizza here is very tasty. It's very crispy. Comes out nice and hot tasty flavors. It's a great pizza joint for takeout. I wouldn't necessarily say you want to eat there
